Business Owner?

Starting your own business isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s stressful and pretty much demands your complete focus. Yet nothing else is quite as rewarding! On the plus side, it can be a fulfilling experience professionally and personally. It begins with self-inventory and ends with opening your doors. It can be operated from a traditional brick and mortar building or an online entity. It can be non-profit or for profit. You can be a sole-proprietor, partner, LLC,or corporation. A lot of research and hard work & decision making is involved. In the beginning you will work more hours than a traditional job. If you can handle all that we can get you through the start-up process & offer consulting for other related areas. How successful you are will depend on how much time you invest in it, the rest is up to you!

This job would be great for those who love working in outdoor environments, likes being creative, loves nature and watching things grow.

Pet Groomer, Trainer, Pet Sitter

Most people in these fields love their jobs as much as they love pets. This is a very popular and growing field on a National level. You may want to start a pet day care and/or respite which is also in high demand when people vacation. Another area is a pet training or obedience school. If you like grooming pets there are plenty who get their hair and nails done just as frequently as some humans. Whatever you do, you are bound to enjoy a meaningful relationship with the pets and the owners you meet and serve on a daily basis. Studies have shown that people with pets including those that frequently interact with them tend to have less stress in their lives.

Child Care

The field of child care can be a very rewarding experience. Most child care centers have infants through school aged children with curricula that varies with each age group. Most include a variety of educational activities that include basic age appropriate knowledge, cognitive development, creative arts, music, exercise, playground activities, field trips, computer training, quiet time, special events, & field trips. Jobs in this field include cooks, drivers, cleaners, classroom aides and assistants, teachers and teacher assistants, Program Directors and assistants, technical & clerical support. Your certification can be center based or home based as long as you and your home meets the required licensing regulations.

Computers & Data Entry

Our world is controlled by technical innovation. Everyone should know basic computer skills because you will need them sooner or later. You don’t have to have typing skills to learn how to use a computer although it helps, but if you find a data entry position that pays by your volume output, you will need some speed on the keyboard. Whether you use your computer for work, school, research or just browsing and entertainment, the faster you can type, the less time it will take for you to complete whatever tasks you are trying to do. If you would rather work from home, most of those jobs depend on how much you can get done in a specified period of time. Most employers still give typing tests and test you on your software skills, like Microsoft Office programs. Other jobs such as desktop publishing and others, require more advanced knowledge. Internet service providers hire people to type blogs, update their websites, and keep their social media accounts updated. Online merchants hire people to track and update their product lines. There is almost an unlimited variety of jobs in this field, so the more you know the higher your potential earnings.

Construction Labor, Commercial Cleaning

Construction Labor and the commercial cleaning business is booming like never before. Most employers outsource their cleaning jobs because they don’t have the in-house resources to get the job done. There is machinery & tools that will accomplish the look you want to achieve in much less time, without all the back breaking physical effort. Specialty fields are becoming increasingly popular so there is plenty of room for Mom & Pop, and the big guys as well. Many companies diversify their services providing several specialty areas such as separate floor care, carpet & upholstery services, window cleaning and pressure washing, construction cleanup, fire & flood restoration services, and much more. Wages can be very appealing as most of the larger entities, especially those in the construction cleanup field, require workers to be paid prevailing wage which is equal to unionized pay rates. This is a good field to get into. There are so many more areas of specialization that can be added as the company grows if starting this type of business right for you!
